Athena Forensics were instructed by the Solicitors acting for an individual who had been charged with serious offences relating to conspiracy to the supply and production of class A and B drugs and that the basis of the case related to the content of 2 mobile phones that had been seized from him.
The phones were analysed and found to contain social media activity, messaging, videos and photographs that were alleged to demonstrate his links to the supply of cocaine and cannabis as well as the possession of large amounts of cash.
The Defendant denied the allegations and claimed that all images had been sent to him or had been taken by others.
Evidence was identified to confirm that the images had been received within chat messages and this evidence was accepted by the Prosecution, resulting in plea’s to significantly reduced charges.
