Windows User Account control is an access control facility introduced from Windows Vista and Server 2008 and limits user privilege of application to standard unless it is increased by the system administrator. This trusted applications receive administrative privileges and in theory preventing unwanted and malicious software from being able to compromise the system.
enables the user to change system settings or run applications at Administrator level without needing to log out of the standard user account and log into the Administrator account.
Instead, it allows the user to ‘right-click’ ‘Run-As Administrator’ to perform the function and the Windows operating system will request the Administrator account password where required.
Alternatively, the user can enter runas /user:admin /widget.exe into the command application.
